About the Race Artist Anthony Colard

"Born 1986 in a fuel powered family where jet skis go along in the garage with race bikes from Kawasaki for which my dad worked. I've been raised with petrol in my veins and engines in my head. Passionate about sports cars, race cars, war planes and anything else which can go fast or give sensations. I turned to automotive design when I was 15. About a decade later, here I am, designing tomorrow's cars as an everyday job. One of my dreams came true !"
"But racing, racing…
...this is what strives me the most, this is what I love above everything. Feeling that you reach the limits, your own and your machine's. It brings a sensation which is hard to describe and that only racing enthusiasts can understand. As reality comes back at us, we can't drive all the famous sports cars or race cars of the great history we've seen written by legends like Moss, Hill, Fangio, Pescarolo.
So I decided to draw them, one by one, so we can enjoy them every day
like their pilots did in their time." _Anthony_

The reason behind the Picture from Anthony Colard :
"The E-Type is a myth, everybody knows that, and nobody would contradict me. But its racing history isn't as good as the D-Type for example. Although, I wanted to sketch two twin Jaguars, one echoing the other with opposite paintjobs. Keeping the liveries very simple to only show the perfect lines and curves of these cars was a challenge, but I restrained myself. Those two E-Types could have raced in British Touring Car or World Championship or even SCCA Championships in USA, who knows? They are from a world that doesn't exist anymore, a world we can only revive from time to time."
